Southern Governors’ Association Annual Meetings
For many years the Southern Governors’ Association did not really have a brand. Their print materials lacked cohesion and the common visual thread was the way in which the organization’s name was written. They needed a simple yet elegant way to introduce a new logo, and they wanted a strong unadorned design element that would carry across all their materials. The red square with the subtle “S” curve on the right side was developed for the logo, and then that design element was worked into the print materials.
It is at the SGA annual meeting that their brand takes center stage. Each year, the overall theme of the annual meeting changes, but the “S” curve is always present in the materials, creating a strong brand.
